Joyful Hearts Child Care provides a learning program on a play-based philosophy for children ages three months through school age (5 years). With attention to cognitive, physical, emotional, and social-emotional development in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, we ensure each child feels loved, valued, and wanted. Our goal is to ensure your child reaches their full potential in each of these areas through continuous exposure to a variety of hands-on individual and group activities (indoor and outdoor) that offer opportunities to build their confidence in decision-making, problem-solving, and healthy social interactions with their peers. Joyful Hearts Child Care is proud to be a participant in the Child and Adult Food Care Program which is sponsored and monitored by the Maryland State Department of Health which focuses on providing excellent nutrition and preventing childhood obesity. Although meals are not provided, our children enjoy 2 nutritious snacks each day. JHCC is a member of the Maryland State Child Care Association and has attained Level 3 in the Maryland Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System (EXCELS).

Ninma Fearon

I am the founder, teacher, and owner of Joyful Hearts Child Care LLC. I earned my BA from Xavier University of Louisiana in Psychology, and Master of Public Health (Maternal & Child Health) from George Washington University. I spent the earlier part of my career as a public health professional in the DC metro area specializing in the health services research sector in both the domestic and international sectors.
Concurrently, over the past 16 years, I have channeled my lifelong passion for children into caring for kids of all ages. I once served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Juvenile Justice system in New Orleans, and also served as both a coordinator and teacher for children’s church departments. I am state and county registered & licensed. In my spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and taking on DIY projects. I have developed a reputation for being a punctual, compassionate, flexible, and adaptive when it comes to child care. My primary goal is to ensure children are nurtured in a fun, comfortable, learning environment where their health and development are of utmost importance. I am excited and I look forward to sharing my love of learning and passion for children with your family.
